


Mark Egan (born January 14, 1951, in Brockton, Massachusetts) is an American jazz bassist known for his membership in the Pat Metheny Group and the Gil Evans Orchestra. He is co-founder of the jazz fusion band Elements.

Mark Egan has just released “Cross Currents,” a new trio album featuring the talents of drummer. Shawn Pelton and guitarist Shane Theriot. Described as the bassist's most versatile and ambitious album to date, the music covers a lot of ground with styles including funk, ambient, swamp rock, second-line, Cajun, and Indian.

Bass legend Mark Egan has formed Potent Trio with drummer Shawn Pelton and guitarist Shane Theriot. Moreover, the group has announced an album for this coming spring.
