Adrian Raso is an acclaimed Canadian guitarist and composer from Guelph, Ontario, renowned for his virtuosic versatility across genres ranging from gypsy jazz and Mediterranean styles to rockabilly and heavy instrumental rock. After teaching himself to play on a $7 acoustic guitar at age 13, Raso developed a dynamic instrumental voice influenced equally by Django Reinhardt and Steve Vai. He has released over a dozen instrumental albums and EPs throughout his prolific career, earning international acclaim with projects like Devil’s Tale—a vibrant collaboration with the Romanian brass ensemble Fanfare Ciocarlia that debuted at #1 on the World Music Charts Europe and won a German Record Critic’s Award. Frequently collaborating with high-profile musicians across the industry, Raso has continued to expand his sonic footprint, successfully transitioning into screen composing in recent years with his music featured in major films like Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.
